Las Vegas and California

We recently went south for a week, attempting to warm up a bit and to see some family and friends in the area. We had a good time. We enjoyed meeting our new niece/cousin Mahela and hanging out with Leah and Tom. Vegas was hot and California was just about perfect. It was great after the long Utah winter.  Here's the photographic evidence.

Looking for inner peace on the grounds of the Las Vegas Temple.

Blending in with the stuffed animals at the M&M Factory.

Las Vegas pool, all to themselves.

Trying to cool down by Caesar's Palace.

Carson has gotten good at walking on water.

I'm not sure, but I think that's about to hurt.

Little Flyer, Part I.

Not looking too excited going into the Angels game, but I think the sun was in their eyes.

Ready for some baseball, popcorn, hot dogs, root beer and cotton candy.

Also ready, for the above-mentioned items.

Cute Elijah and some dorky dude.

Having fun in the Downtown Disney store. Surprisingly, they never seemed upset that we didn't do Disneyland this trip.

One of my favorite photos. Clarissa with her very brand new Build-a-Bear. She was so happy.

Elijah and his good friend Max, who lives in So Cal. I told Christina that in this photo they look like a couple of teenagers who have enjoyed more than just a couple of soft drinks.

On the pier at Huntington Beach. Fortunately, none of the kids toppled off, for as energetic as they were.

Christina, Clarissa and Mahela.

We visited the Griffith Observatory in L.A.. A very cool place.

Lijah and Clarissa with cousin Mahela.

Lijah getting his beach on.

Little Flyer, Part II

Carson and Lijah had a pretty good sand castle going for a while.

Little Flyer, Part III

On the Santa Monica Pier. The boys and I rode that little coaster.

OH man...all the photos were great, and it looks like it was a great trip. BUT, I have to say that the highlight was the tipsy Elijah & friend photo. Pretty sure I woke up my kids with my laughter!
