Baby Girl Jones

Clarissa Nacole Jones joined the family on Sunday, February 24 at 1:40 p.m., via c-section. A day or so before we went to the hospital, she apparently decided that the head-down fetal position wasn't for her, so she turned to kind of a bum-down position. She is a 6 lb. 14 oz. gorgeous little girl with lots of dark hair. We didn't go in expecting a c-section, but things turned out pretty good and mom and baby are doing well. They should be released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon, and Christina's recovery will be a little rougher than expected. I'll post more photos in a few days. This first picture was taken shortly after birth. The others were taken Monday and Tuesday.

More Snow

More snow today. Here are the boys after climbing one of the big piles out in the yard. Carson's gloves had fallen off and Elijah was wearing jammy bottoms. Needless to say, we weren't out long...

January 2008

January was a very cold and snowy month. Most the month we had like a foot of snow on the ground. The piles out at the end of the driveway are as tall as I am. We had a few sicknesses run through the family, in addition to the usual colds that the boys catch every few weeks. Mid-month a few of us had various forms of the flu bug, then a couple weeks later I had strep. Fortunately the others avoided that.

We're just a few weeks out from our little girl joining the family. Christina is at the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy and ready to be done with it. We're trying to prepare the boys for the arrival of a little baby sister. We talk to them about it so that they aren't totally thrown off. Carson does understand and is quite excited. We look forward to the arrival of our little girl. Elijah suggests that we name her Sponge Bob. We sold Christina's car and bought a Toyota minivan early in January, so I guess we're officially a big family now. Here are some random January photos.

One minute best friends, the next beating the heck of each other...

Carson made FHE treats last Monday. He came up with his own idea: kitty face crackers...

The boys like to help mommy in the kitchen...

Go Utes!!!

This was about to be the largest snowman we've ever built, but I was worn out and Carson was ready to go in, so we simplified our plan...
