Dinosaur Park

We enjoyed an afternoon at Ogden's dinosaur park for Jeremy's birthday. (I've discovered over the past couple of years that a day off work -- spending time with the family -- is the best way to have a birthday)

The dinosaur park was very cool and had tons of stuff to do and see. The boys had fun digging in sand for dinosaur bones, looking at all the dinosaur sculptures, going down slides and watching the robotic dinosaurs move around. The weather was perfect that day so we were also able to take a picnic and eat outside. We look forward to going back to the park again.

This slide was built into a big tree. The
boys couldn't get enough of it and laughed
like crazy. They were going much faster
than it looks in these photos...

Sitting on a giant turtle (or something)...

One of the robotic dinosaurs. I think
it scared the boys a little at first...

Fortunately this fence didn't really
carry high voltage. The boys do, however...

Late summer activities

On Labor Day we visited Red Butte gardens in Salt Lake with grandma Diana and the Britte and Webster families. We all had a good time walking around and the kids had a really good time playing in the fountains and seeing the dinosaur sculptures there. Later that day the guys played golf then we had a BBQ that night.

Carson had fun walking around a
little maze at Red Butte. He would
not let go of that map...

Elijah had fun letting the squirting
snakes get him soaking wet. Good
thing it was a hot day...

Elijah, Carson, Alec, Eliza, Audree
and Abbie cool their feet...

the giants lizards...

Elijah LIKES food of all shapes, sizes
and colors. On this particular night
it was peach cobbler and whipped cream...

Carson, like daddy, didn't want to go
to bed until the U.S. Open was over
for the night (though daddy preferred
the couch over the laundry basket)...
