Week in Oregon

We had a great week in Oregon last week, visiting Grandma and Grandpa Candland. It was a fun, relaxing week and went by way too fast.

As usual, the 12 hour drive required a few stops. Carson was getting a little car sick so we stopped at this spot...

The kids were able to spend some time with some cousins they don't see very often. Eating popsicles with Sam and Alex's kids...

We went swimming one day. Clarissa and boys loved this little slide...

Great shot and Clarissa and her Grandpa Candland after we met him for lunch...

Christina's Grandpa Bud works in a factory that builds airplanes. After taking a little tour, we watched some planes take off. Clarissa wanted to be an airplane...

Then Elijah wanted to be an airplane...

Then Carson wanted to be an airplane...

And then there's this goof ball who has no idea what he's trying to be...

A shot of a beautiful gorge in Central Oregon...

This sign was posted all around the gorge area. I told the boys to show me their "dying dog faces." Well, whatever...

The Three Sisters and Broken Top...

Family photo at the amazing Tumalo Falls near Bend...

There's still some serious snow up near Mt. Bachelor. We thought maybe we'd have a picnic in the grass by a lake. We ended up on a blanket on the little patch of asphalt that wasn't a road...

Mt. Hood at sunset...

Elijah's 6th Birthday

Elijah turned 6 recently. He was so exicted for his birthday and the parties and presents. He's never low on enthusiasm and seemed to enjoy every second of the day. We had fun.

Christina made another amazing cake. Elijah requested a dog...

He had a friend party that afternoon...

I think we're singing Happy Birthday in this photo. Clearly our beautiful voices have put him in a daze...

Opening presents. He got some cool stuff...

This was our big gift to him. He helped pick out the Mater bike and had took it for a test drive in in the store...

Since Carson's recent deflection to the BYU side, I'm doing what I can to raise at least one Ute fan in the house. Lijah's favorite color has always been red, so it hasn't been too difficult...

Again, with the red...
