Weekend in Oregon

We visited Christina's parents this past weekend and were also able to spend some time with other members of her family. We had a nice, relaxing time and it went by too fast. The boys love going to grandma and grandpa's in Oregon. ("grandma on the mountain" as Carson says, since we go over mountains to get there) The boys get to explore and play out outside and they have an endless supply of otter pops and other frozen treats.

During the course of a 12 hour drive with three little kids, we have to make stops along the way. Here the boys are posing in the middle of scenic central Oregon...

Clarissa and I in the same spot...

She was pretty pleasant during most of the drive. It helps that she slept for like 2/3rds of the time...

Christina and Elijah taking a little walk...

Four generations. Christina's grandma, mom, Christina and Clarissa...

Mom and daughter...

The boys always like hanging out in the old blue truck (it reminds them of blue Mater from Cars)...

Launching rocks and sticks into a little lake. They seem to be throwing something or other about 90 percent of the time. I impressed them with my rock skipping skills...

Preschool Graduation for Carson

Carson had a couple of preschool graduations last week. He attended two different preschools during the school year. He loved going to preschool and made good progress during the course of the year with letters, numbers, writing his name, coloring, etc. We're really proud of him and his growth and development. He's a good boy.

Showing off his diploma from the neighborhood preschool:

This was the graduation set up for his "preschool room." They had a neat little outdoor ceremony with songs and the kids shared some of the things they learned during the year:

Carson got to recite "Jack and Jill" in front of the crowd. He did a great job:
