September Stuff

First day of school. Carson in 4th, Elijah in 2nd, and Clarissa goes to preschool two days a week.

Being excited about their backpacks helped them ease back into school.

At her table on Day 1.

We had a couple of huge sunflowers this year. Elijah took one to show-and-tell at school.

Clarissa cracked her head open a week or so ago.  This is after we got home from Instacare (in her lovely hospital gown and bright orange band-aid.)  She also had a concussion. She looked and felt so much better a few hours later when we got home.

This was a day or so later.  Her cut is healing pretty nicely.  The stitches were taken out a few days ago.

Elijah is playing soccer.  He's having fun and learning a lot.

Christina made a tennis racquet cake for September birthdays.  Once again did an amazing job.

Ready for the big rivalry game a couple of nights ago.  Sadly, he dozed off by halftime, and sadder yet, I dozed off and missed the final quarter and exciting finish.
Carson started taking piano lessons a few weeks ago. He really enjoys playing.

Handsome fella.

Green Pond

We took a great hike today up to Green Pond near Snowbasin Resort. The weather was perfect and the trail was only a couple of miles long. The kids did really well, though all three of them took a spill at different points on the way back down. When we got to the pond, a couple of bull moose were drinking from the lake. Christina and I thought it was pretty neat, but the kids didn't really seem to care.  I quickly snapped some pics because I knew it wouldn't be long before the boys started heaving giant rocks into the water, scaring away wildlife in all its forms. After the hike we drove to Snowbasin and ate lunch.
