Hikes and Bees

The boys and I took a little a hike recently along the foothills. It was cool and a little rainy, perfect for hiking...

We had beautiful views of the mountains and the valley. Carson said "I want to live here!" I told him we could almost see our house from where we were, but that wasn't quite the same...

It was a long enough hike that they wanted to sit and rest. Apparently the middle of trail was good spot...

Everything was so green and there were wild flowers all over the place...

We also went to a Salt Lake Bees game last week. For weeks the boys have been clamoring for a Bees game. The kids don't actually watch much baseball once we're there...

Elijah the 5-year-old

Elijah turned 5 yesterday. He was nothing but smiles and energy from the moment he woke up. I don't know if I've ever seen a kid so happy and excited about a birthday. We had a fun day. Christina slaved away for several hours on a SpongeBob cake. It's what Elijah asked for, and he was very pleased with it. In the afternoon we went and played at Boondocks, then came home for cake and presents.

We lived in the pineapple under the sea, for a day...
