April has come and gone quickly. Carson turned 5 on April 14th and we had a dinosaur-themed birthday party with food, games and gifts. We had alot of family around for the party, so that was fun. The next day was Clarissa's blessing in church. Christina's parents and grandpa were able to come spend a few days with us for those events.
Things have mellowed out some since then. Clarissa is growing and changing. Her brothers like to try to make her smile by tickling her and making funny noises for her. They love her and enjoy having her around. Elijah especially likes to hold her. But after literally two seconds says, "I'm done." No fighting or teasing her yet. They save that for one another, and they are pretty good at it.
Christina and Clarissa on the day of Clarissa's blessing...
Christina made a dinosaur cake for Carson's birthday. The boys and I made a volcano to go along with the cake...
Elijah and Carson hanging out in "Carson's Restaurant," one of his birthday presents. Carson was charging $18 for a hot dog and fries. I reported him to the better business bureau and the operation has since been shut down...
Elijah flying down the hill at Carson's soccer game...
Looks like she wants to say something...

Springtime
Life is going pretty well and we're continuing to make adjustments with three kids at home. Christina is still trying to get all better after her c-section and a subsequent infection. Clarissa is changing a little bit all the time and has recently started smiling. The weather is starting to cooperate and there have been a few warm days when we've been able to go out and play. Carson started up soccer again a couple of weeks ago, so we need more warm spring days.
The boys missed their swing set over the winter and have spent a lot of time out there in the last few weeks...

A pleasant look...
And a smile...
