Activities of Spring

Carson's life is getting a little busy. He's playing baseball games twice a week for the White Sox...

He started Cub Scouts last month when he turned 8. He really enjoys the things he does and learns at scouts. He just earned his Bobcat and his baseball belt loop...

Last week all the 2nd graders at his school did a patriotic program...

Christina and I went to the U2 concert last week. We had the tickets for over a year and it was nice to finally go. From the looks of the crowd, it looked more like an AARP convention than a rock concert. Seriously, look at the people behind us. But, it was a really great show and reminded me why U2 has been my favorite band for about the last 25 years. I guess I'm getting old too...

Carson's Baptism

Carson was baptized last Saturday. It was a neat day for him and was very special to us as his parents. He felt happy and was excited about what he was doing. We were able to share the day with family and friends. Most of his cousins were there and they all had a great time playing together afterward. We are proud of Carson, despite him turning 8 and making us feel old.

Easter 2011

The Easter Bunny left a few little things and hid eggs all over the place. The kids had them rounded up pretty quickly. Later that day we went to my parents' house for a cousin Easter egg hunt. The kids colored eggs the night before. It took them all of like 10 minutes to color two dozen. Guess we'd better do more next year...
