Moab Trip

We recently made a trip to Moab. We had a great time. There are so many amazing spots to visit in the area. The kids had fun exploring and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Candland.  I have more photos than I know what to do with.  Here are some:

Lijah checking the view the south from I-70.

Goblin Valley was our first stop. We've been there before with the kids. It's an ideal place to go with kids.

Carson hanging out among the Goblins.

Christina and the Goblins.

Lijah and the Goblins.

Clarissa cooling off.  Got a little toasty there in the sun.

Group photo in Goblin. We're even looking at the camera.

We spent the next day in Arches.  What a place.  I could probably spend a week there and still want more time.

The boys at Park Avenue.

Carson, grandpa and I made the hike to Delicate Arch.  It's not the easiest hike and it got a little warm, but Carson  made it.

Proof of our visit to the world's most famous arch.

Despite seeing photos of this all the time, there's really nothing like being there.

Grandpa and Carson begin the descent from Delicate Arch.

Clarissa and the boys had a blast jumping around in the sand. There are some great spots for the kids in Arches.

Looking toward the Devil's Garden area.

Sandstone Arch was new to me. More sand for the kids to play in. They were happy there.

Lijah working his was to Landscape Arch. He was a trooper.

Here we are, Landscape Arch.  Quite impressive.

I think this is Turret Arch.  There weren't many wildflowers around, but I did find these.

Family photo at Arches.

Clarissa posing by the pool. The majority of the trip, the kids kept asking when we were going to the pool.  To them that's what a vacation is, I guess.

Lijah splashing.

Carson splashing.

Me and the kids practicing our pool shadow dancing.  We've won several prestigious awards.

We also spent a day visiting Canyonlands. Carson at Dead Horse Point.

Elijah's newly acquired chipmunk, Judy.
(it's actually named Cutie, but it sounds like "Judy" when  he says it, so I'm  going with Judy.)

The kids at Mesa Arch.  I've seen this photographed 1,000 times but never been there.  An amazing setting for photos.

Lijah and Clarissa near Mesa Arch.

The boys with Mesa Arch on the left.

One of my favorite photos of the whole trip. Elijah helping Clarissa navigate Canyonlands.

A silly photo near our condo. I found it odd that this fence had no bottom.  I told the kids to say  cheese. I'm not sure if they listened.
