After approximately 25 trips to Home Depot/Lowes, 43 slivers, one blackened fingernail, and 704 ounces of Powerade, the fort/playhouse is done. It's 6' X 8', about 7' feet tall and has to weigh like 1,000 lbs. It's been a fun project and the kids are excited that it's finally done. Today they are starting to decorate the inside, so I'll post photos of that later. It was a great family project and it was nice to get the kids involved whenever possible. I had never built anything like this before and don't expect to again anytime soon. Especially if it happens to fall over anytime in the next year. The whole process started when we added some Trex to our deck and had a little leftover wood that I figured needed to be used for something.

As soon as I had all the lumber sitting the yard/garage, I realized I was committed, and frankly that scared me a little bit...

I am booking you now for one for my yard when I have kids! This is a great playhouse! We are very impressed.
This is so fun to look at! I'm so glad you took pictures of the process. It is a work of art and I'm so anxious to come play in it!!
