Carson started kindergarten last week. We went to his orientation a couple of weeks ago and met his teacher and saw his classroom. He seems perfectly content going to kindergarten; he's not overly enthused about it nor does he seem to dread it. We try to talk to him as much as possible about the experience and what he's learning. The thing that seemed to be most memorable for him in his first week was that he crossed the monkey bars all by himself. He's had monkey-like climbing skills since birth, but seemed quite proud of himself. We're still working to get him a little more focused on the academic aspects of school. It's hard to believe he's at this stage, and I think Christina and I both felt a little emotional shipping him off to school.

Clarissa is growing and changing. She's eating solid foods now and really loves to eat. Oatmeal, puréed bananas, pears, peaches, squash, carrots, beans and whatever else Gerber can smash and put in a plastic container. She can be quite dramatic at times and knows how to get our attention, but she's a real cutie...
Elijah is such a sweet little guy. He can be mean and rough, but is generally very kind and polite and loves to help others. The other day when I got home from work he gave me a hug and said, "I missed you daddy." That made my year. Last night before bed he gave Christina a hug and told her that he loved her. That made her feel great. He's good with Clarissa and likes playing and making her laugh...
For as much as I love our three kids, sometimes they have to be kept under control and I think I found a way...
