Early Fall

Summer is over, it's getting cooler and we're trying to spend time outside since the boys will not like being stuck inside for the next five months. September came and went quickly. I had sinus surgery and was at least partially out of it for the next week or so, then we celebrated my birthday on the 19th by going out to dinner and playing the new Candyland game the boys picked out for me. Christina was also pretty sick with her pregnancy in August and the first half of September, so we were fairly dysfunctional for a while there, but seem to be getting some energy back...just in time to be lazy and watch the baseball playoffs.

We've also been getting alot of tennis in lately; some outside and some inside at Lagoon. Carson is sure hitting them well this year, and has very nice form. Elijah also likes going to the courts and chasing balls around with his racquet and running everywhere. The boys also continue to enjoy playing baseball outside. Carson has one more soccer game next week, then will be done until spring. The break will probably be good for him. Sometimes he's really into it and running everywhere, but sometimes seems disinterested and just stares off into space. Probably normal for a four year old.

Next February we look forward to adding another little person to the family. I'm in favor of a girl, Carson wants another brother, Christina seems to be slightly in favor of another boy and Elijah says nothing more than "I don't have a preference, as long as it is healthy." Silly Lijah. Christina will have the ultrasound next week, then we should now what to expect gender wise.

The extended Jones family got together in September to celebrate September birthdays and go miniature golfing at Cherry Hill...

This particular night the boys had more fun throwing balls everywhere, instead of hitting them...

Elijah prefers to hit tennis and baseballs left-handed, so I guess that would make this a backhand...

One of Carson's favorite things is to have grandpa Jones toss him tennis balls, whether on the court or in the yard...

Not an uncommon sight at our house, the boys watching "Cars"...
