Carson's 4th Birthday

Carson turned four on April 14. Time sure goes fast. He's such a cute, pleasant little guy (most of the time) and is speaking so much now. He continues to surprise us with all the words and phrases that he knows. He's a great big brother to Elijah and looks out for him and is becoming very good at sharing with him and helping him.

We had a fun birthday for Carson. Since it was Saturday we were able to spend the whole day together. He was pretty excited when he first woke up, so he opened some of his presents then. He wanted to eat lunch at McDonald's, so we ate there and then went to the dinosaur park. That evening we had a family party, with a theme of the movie Cars. The house was decorated with Cars pictures and cars. Christina made a very cool Cars cake. It turned out very well and surprisingly was not destroyed by the boys before the party started. We had a nice evening and Carson got some great presents.

Carson, still in pajamas, digs right into his presents...

The boys at the dinosaur park. They only sit still for about two seconds at a time, so it's a miracle that any of these photos turn out...

Carson shows off one of his presents from his family party, a pillow from the Jones grandparents. The Candland grandparents gave him a sleeping bag, so now he's all set...

The Cars cake, complete with Lightning McQueen, Sally and Sheriff...

A family photo...

The funniest moment of the day for Carson was when his little brother's sucker was dropped right onto the cake (Carson noticably entertained, Elijah not so much)...

We gave Carson a little skate board for his birthday. He's a little hesitant to use it right now, but before long he'll be flying around the neighborhood...
